Mount Roraima – 8 days

Mount Roraima is more than a destination — it’s a sanctuary above the clouds. One of the oldest geological formations on Earth, it inspires myths and awakens the soul. In this expedition, our main goal is to reach the enchanting Jacuzzis Pools, natural rock bathtubs filled with crystal-clear water and lined with quartz. But the journey goes far beyond the pools — it’s a deep reconnection with nature, with the group, and with yourself.

Day-by-day Itinerary

DAY 1 – Boa Vista → Santa Elena de Uairén (Venezuela)
Arrival in Boa Vista. At 8:30 AM, we hold a briefing to go over logistics, safety protocols, and team integration. Then we begin our overland journey to the Venezuelan border. After customs procedures, we overnight in Santa Elena de Uairén.

DAY 2 – Santa Elena → Paraitepuy → Rio Tek/Kukenan Camp
After breakfast, we take a 4x4 to the Indigenous community of Paraitepuy — the starting point of our trek. From there, we hike around 15 km to our first camp near the Tek or Kukenan rivers, sleeping in tents under the starry skies of the Gran Sabana.

DAY 3 – Hike to Mount Roraima Base Camp
The mountain starts to dominate the horizon. We trek 8 km through savanna and rivers toward Base Camp, nestled right beneath Roraima’s massive cliff wall. The view here is simply breathtaking.

DAY 4 – Ascent to the summit of Mount Roraima
We enter a unique microclimate: misty jungle, vertical rock walls, and waterfalls. The ascent includes the “Paso de las Lágrimas” and ends with a majestic welcome from the Makunaima Monument. We reach the summit and set up camp on top of the world.

DAY 5 – Crystals Valley, El Fosso & Triple Point
Full day exploring the magical mountaintop. We visit the Crystals Valley (a surreal quartz field), El Fosso (a mysterious natural pit), and the Triple Point — where Brazil, Venezuela, and Guyana meet.

DAY 6 – Jacuzzis Pools, La Ventana, Maverick Rock & Cathedral Falls
This is the highlight of the expedition: the sacred Jacuzzis Pools, where you can bathe in crystalline waters over mineral-rich stones. We also visit La Ventana, with its panoramic views, Cathedral Falls, and Maverick Rock — the highest point of the tepui (2,875m).

DAY 7 – Descent to Tek River Camp
We begin our return, descending a steep 1,000-meter path back to the base. A stop for snacks and rest along the way. Overnight at the Tek River camp, surrounded by the lush nature of the Gran Sabana.

DAY 8 – Return to Paraitepuy → Santa Elena → Boa Vista
Final 15 km hike back to Paraitepuy. After the trek, we travel by 4x4 to Santa Elena, cross the border, and return to Boa Vista in the late afternoon. The journey ends where it began — but you are not the same.
